Best universities in the US for Robotics

In the previous chapter, I discussed the different fields in Robotics, in this post lets look into the best universities that provide quality Robotics specialisation.

The way I have gone about shortlisting these universities are,

  1. Looked into the research areas of Professors who have done significant progress in their respective fields of Robotics.
  2. Looked into Robotics competitions conducted by NASA and shortlisted the finalists in the last 5 years.

As I always say, it is not the university or the department that matters the most, what matters is the Professor under whom you are going to work. I strongly believe your advisor has great influence in what your future is going to be, thus this approach.

I have picked best universities for each sub – fields, take a look at it.

The first one is swarm robotics – (No particular order of superiority followed)

1. MIT – Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Prof. Daniela Rus

2. Stanford University – Prof. Mac Schwager
